The recycling of waste could generate up to 2020, a total of 55,000 new jobs, which would add another 20,000 additional landfills if were replaced by recycling plants, to meet the objectives set by the Framework Directive Waste, commented the CEO of Quality and Environmental Assessment and Natural Environment, Guillermina Yanguas Montero.
Yanguas, who presented the day Tuesday on innovation in the recycling process organized by the newspaper Cinco Dias, recalled that in the next seven years be passed from the current 30 percent of urban waste recycling to 50 percent. As explained at the end of this year the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) will bring a review of the Integrated National Waste Plan for the period 2008-2015, in collaboration with all stakeholders, with strategies to comply with Europe on time and that "environmental join and progress."
