A new report by the International Labour Organization (ILO), published on the occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, says the transition to a green economy should be accompanied by the implementation of measures on safety and occupational health. The report "Promoting safety and health in a green economy," argues that while greening the economy "does not automatically guarantee decent jobs, safe and healthy," yes "offers the opportunity to increase the health and safety and employment while benefiting the environment and society, as long as they identify and manage risk professionals from the design phase.
